I used to hate Sebastian.
This is what convinced me otherwise:
Well, I suppose that first of all, you have to remember that he’s a demon. You can’t hold him to the same morals as a human being. And he’s really very good to Ciel, especially in the anime. He doesn’t have to fix Ciel’s ring, he doesn’t have to be so kind on the trip to the island, but he does. Compare him to Claude, who only shows affection to Alois when he’s trying to manipulate him, and murders him when he is of no further use alive. Sebastian honors his side of the bargain up to the moment when it comes back to bite him in the ass. I think he loves Ciel in his own way, but it’s the sort of love a human feels for their pet cow when it will still be bacon one day. Not to ruin anyone’s fanfic or anything. XD And Ciel knew what he was getting into when he made the contract. I do love Ciel more than Sebastian, but I can’t paint Sebastian as a monster.
